Decorating Kitchen Cabinets

The space above your cabinetry is often overlooked and under utilized. If the space above the kitchen cabinets is open, you essentially have a high shelf that can be used to display a few of your favorite accessories.

When decorating these spaces, keep scale and color in mind.

If your items aren't tall enough, as in the above picture, use blocks or books to build them up.

Group similar objects together and use the opportunity to add a pop of color.

Line the tops of cabinets with silk plants or flowers, and choose a few pieces of beautiful pottery.

Use decor befitting of the home's overall design. For example, this home is full of beautiful Asian- inspired art and accessories, so we used some of those same things atop the cabinets.
